A subluxation is any interference or lack of flow in the body that prevents it from fully healing and can lead to symptoms such as pain. This system of analysis can be applied to any part of the body including cranial bones, organs, muscles, and extremities. In practice, her focus is to combine chiropractic with nutrition and rehabilitative therapies.

In her free time, Dr. Shook enjoys exercising, reading, writing, traveling, and spending time with family. Her goal is to share with as many people as possible how they can change lives by changing their health.

Dr. Andre Gregory

Dr. Andre Gregory was raised on a farm in South Fulton, Tn where I learned responsibility, taking care of the horses and goats. He went to college at Murray State University with a focus in
Exercise Science, but later switched to a Biology Pre-med major/ Chemistry minor path.
After college, he attended Logan University Chiropractic School in Missouri. With his mother being an MD, he grew up in hospital settings. When deciding on his career path in high school, he decided to follow in her footsteps and enter the healthcare field. His mother has always held an interest in alternative medicines and brought him with her while looking at Logan for herself, where he learned what Chiropractic is. He learned the
power of chiropractic when a botched surgery/recovery left his mom’s hand completely
immobile, with the doctors saying the condition was permanent. Refusing that answer,
his mom visited a physical therapist, an acupuncturist, a massage therapist, and the same chiropractor who would later train him. Today, 5 years later, she has 96% mobility back in
her hand. This showed Dr. Andre how effective chiropractic care can be. He had a later experience where he injured his foot and suffered worsening pain when He tried to walk. A professor saw him and adjusted his feet, so now he can walk pain-free. This further reinforced that the pain people think is “normal” can be relieved with chiropractic care.
In addition to reading and gaming, He loves to fence and play tennis, as he was a ranked fencer in undergrad and a state champion in high school. When conditions are right, he also likes to spend time near the water and fish. He is also interested in exploring new hobbies now that he is in middle Tennessee, as well as learn about animal chiropractic care.

Mary Lay

Assistant
My name is Mary Lay. I was born in Texas, raised in Oklahoma, and chose Tennessee as the place I’m proud to call home.

I was first introduced to chiropractic care in 1980 after a work injury, and it truly changed my life. From that point on, I was a firm believer in the healing benefits of chiropractic care.

After retiring from more than 30 years of working in electronic technology, I found a new passion for helping others through chiropractic care. Working as Dr. Everett’s assistant has given me the opportunity to keep learning while also sharing what I’ve learned with patients about taking care of their whole body. I love being part of a team that helps people feel better and heal—from head to toe.

When I’m not at the office, I enjoy reading and studying herbalism, foraging, and growing medicinal plants. I also love spending time with my family—my three daughters, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and another on the way. I truly believe life is a blessing, and I’m thankful every day to be able to help others on their path to better health.
